IMMIGRANTS PER LADY ELIZABETH. (1878,)

The Lady Elizabeth arrived at Fremantle on Tuesday last, [1]
after a very fair passage of eighty-seven days from London.
The vessel left Gravesend on December 15th and anchored in Gage's Roads on March 12th.
She is commanded by Captain Scott; and the medical officer in charge of the immigrants is Mr. O. P. Vines.

Arrived aboard The Lady Elizabeth at Fremantle 12 March 1878 [1]

The new comers are reported to have enjoyed exceptionally good health during the voyage, and neither birth nor death occurred to cast joy or gloom amongst them. The ship's cook, however, died at sea, two days before the vessel reached her destination. Two of the immigrants were brought ashore at Fremantle on Wednesday morning in custody of the police, charged with broaching cargo during the voyage.
The remainder of the new-arrivals landed yesterday, and, judging from appearance, seem a very suitable class of immigrants, -more especially the male portion.
